About Us

Club Pioneer started in 1997  to help train potential 10,11,& 12 year old Jonathan Alder players before they got into the school volleyball program.  We have had a lot of fun and success playing in the Ohio Valley Region of USA Volleyball.  We have finished first and finshed last and along the way have raised the bar of the success of players at JA. & now other area schools. In 2007 we expanded our age groups to include 13's and 14's so we could extend our program to our older girls which in turn gives us the opportunity to play with girls from neighboring schools. This season we will offer a couple of high school age groups. We look forward to our next ten years with hope that everyone learns to love the game like I do. Club Pioneer reserves the right to hold tryouts that first consider our local district athletes and then reach beyond those boundries for players under the guidelines set by the OVR and OHSAA.

Tryouts for 2010
*If possible please preregister from the contact page with Name, School, Grade,Experience, Age on 9/1/10*
15 American and 15 Regional - Monday, Nov. 16 - 6:30 to 9:30 Sharon Mennonite Church Because basketball practice may interfere with some, the three hour time frame will allow for some of you to at least come for half. Let me know with registration if you need another date to tryout.
16 American Invitational team- We are putting together an invitation only team at this age group and are looking for Outside hitters and Right side hitters with Varsity high school or elite experience. If a tryout is needed we ask that you attend the 15 American tryout on Mon. Nov. 16.
Parent meeting 6:00 prior to tryout or you can get information immediately after tryout.
Please download OVR forms and waivers from the menu and have them signed before tryouts.  There is an nonrefundable $15 tryout fee (gym Rental/new balls) If you are accepted to join a team you will have 10 days to sign and accept your contract per the Ohio Valley Region.

Our 2009 Season Was A Success!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you to everyone both players, coaches, and families for making last season very successfull.  We coached four teams, our most ever, and they all had success in their own right.  We all learned the game at a higher level, we worked hard and played hard. We made new friendships.  Each player hopefully moved into their school season with a sense of excitement and positive personal goals.We look forward to 2010 with anticipation!

Announcements

Tryouts for 2010 are being planned. 
Probable age groups 10 and 11, 12's, 13,14, 15 American or Regional. Our young teams (10,11,12)practice from 3 to 5 or 4 to 6 during the week starting mid Feb. to May 1. If you cannot attend those early times, it will be hard to participate on one of our teams. Theses teams practice at Canaan Middle School. They will play in 4 or 5 tournaments.
13's and 14's will practice at Canaan from 6 to 8 two nights a week. Early in the season some practices may need to relocate but it would be in the Plain City area. 13's and 14's 4 to 6 tournaments. Practices will start mid Feb. to mid May.
15Regional/15American will practice two nights a week and play in at least 6 tournaments possibly a few more mid Feb. to mid May. Club Pioneer reserves the right to sponsor teams based on the number of girls, their skill, athletic ability, desire, potential, and locality.  We try to keep our club well coached with skilled coaches and convienience for families. Fees will vary according to the number of tournaments and level of play and number of days we have to pay for gym rental. We do keep it at the lowest level possible. Fees for the young teams will run $350 to $400. High school ages around $500 depending on the tournaments we decide to enter.
